Nov / Dec. 2004 U.S. Dept. of Defense issued a denial of the chemical weapons charge:
"The United States categorically denies the use of chemical weapons at anytime in Iraq,
which includes the ongoing Fallujah operation. Furthermore, the United States does not
under any circumstances support or condone the development, production, acquisition,
transfer or use of chemical weapons by any country. All chemical weapons currently
possessed by the United States have been declared to the Organization for the
Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and are being destroyed in the United States
in accordance with our obligations under the Chemical Weapons Convention."

Nov. 16, 2005 - Pentagon officials acknowledged Tuesday that U.S. troops used white phosphorus as a weapon against insurgent strongholds during the battle of Fallujah last November. But they denied an Italian television news report that the spontaneously flammable material was used against civilians.

"It was not used against civilians." ~ Lt. Col. Barry Venable, Pentagon spokesman.

But now new information has surfaced, including hideous photographs and video and
interviews with American soldiers who took part in the Fallujah attack, which provides
graphic proof that phosphorus shells were widely deployed in the city as a weapon.

"Phosphorus burns bodies, in fact it melts the flesh all the way down to the bone..
I saw the burned bodies of women and children.
Phosphorus explodes and forms a cloud.
Anyone within a radius of 150 metres is done for."

Bush's 2003 uranium claim fueled criticism from Plame's husband, former diplomat Joseph Wilson, that the administration twisted intelligence to bolster its case for war.

Wilson based his criticism in part on a CIA-sponsored mission he made to Africa in 2002
to check out reports that Iraq sought uranium from Niger.
Wilson said the report was unsubstantiated, and later accused the White House
of leaking his wife's identity in retaliation. It has been determined that
the Iraq-Niger documents are forgeries.

a year ago(2004) -- leaving what experts say are gaps in the oversight of how
more than $140 billion is being spent.

The Comptroller of the Pentagon is Dov Zakheim, who was appointed in May of 2001.
Before becoming the Pentagon's money-manager,
he was an executive at System Planning Corporation,
a defense contractor specializing in electronic warfare technologies including
remote-controlled aircraft systems.

thin-skinned Humvees in Iraq with the so-called "uparmored" reinforced versions.


Oct 23, 2005 - Hundreds of new, top-of-the-line armored Humvees are parked in Texas
and Kuwait and won't be shipped to troops in Iraq even though those soldiers face daily
roadside bombs, the Army acknowledged.

"called in his markers" to achieve U.S. FDA approval for the
artificial sweetener Aspartame, known by its trade name "NutraSweet."

began programming the public to believe that sugar has lots of calories;
calories make us fat and NutraSweet has no calories -therefore it won't make us fat.

In the market since 1981, this almost universally-accepted oversimplification of
biochemical reality, Aspartame has enjoyed 22 years of marketplace success
and is now found in diet and regular beverages, most chewing gums,
coffee sweeteners, jams and jellies, yogurt, children's vitamins, Listermint Strips
and in an estimated 7,000 different products consumed by 70% of the population
and 40%of children in at least 100 countries.
This includes over the counter and prescription drugs.

When Searle was absorbed by Monsanto in 1985,
Rumsfeld reportedly received a $12 million bonus.

The prospect of a bird flu outbreak may be panicking people around the globe,
but it's proving to be very good news for Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and other
politically connected investors in Gilead Sciences, the California biotech company
that owns the rights to Tamiflu, the influenza remedy that's now the most-sought
after drug in the world.


Rumsfeld served as Gilead's chairman from 1997 until he joined the
Bush administration in 2001,and he still holds a Gilead stake valued at
between $5 million and $25 million, according to federal financial disclosures
filed by Rumsfeld.


U.S. FDA regulators are studying the deaths of 12 children in Japan who took Tamiflu,
and said it was "concerning" that 32 psychiatric events, such as hallucinations
and abnormal behavior, also had been reported in children who took Tamiflu.
Tamiflu is in high demand because it is considered to be one of the best
defenses against avian flu in people.

It is difficult to tell whether the drug played a role in any of these cases.

If you are exposed to these vapors on a consistent / daily basis,
if you work around this large-scale solvent printer(60"),
this is what you're being exposed to:

Warning: Although many solvent inks are marketed under names such as
Eco, Safety, Healthy, Environmentally-friendly, etc. and are sold as
"healthier" inks, they all contain some types of solvents.

According to the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) the solvent inks contain:
2-Butoxyethanol acetate (CAS 112-07-2)
N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (CAS 872-50-4) -this is listed on CA's Prop65 list

Solvent Inks contain VOCs, Volatile Organic Compounds.
I tend to believe at this point the word organic is a misnomer.
The word 'Volatile' is enough for me.
Warnings of breathing vapors from spray paint cans are pretty clear. Huffing will kill you.
Some states have even prohibited products containing VOCs from being sold.
Note the "voc compliant" on those cans.
Printers using solvent inks, from what I understand, are under no specific regulations
at this time.
