Bring Me The 'Za !

Pizza, one of my favorite foods !
Sometimes I'm in the mood for just plain cheese, other times 'the works'.
When I saw this comic I giggled.
What toppings do I drool for ?
Ground Beef, Mushroom, Onion & Pineapple plus grated Asiago.
MMMMmmmmm.

Hey, next time don't forget to add the Silicone !
Or if you're into big words, 'Polydimethylsiloxane' CAS # 63148-62-9
"A silicone emulsifier (Dow Corning FG-10) is mixed with water to form a 0.05%
emulsifier solution. This solution is sprayed on the frozen cheese granules at a rate of
1.75 parts of solution per 100 parts by weight of cheese."
Patent #4894245
Awww, go on... start your research.

In order to preserve their frozen pizzas, Pizza Hut claims that their silicone emulsifier
is a necessary preservative and emulsifier.
Read Robert Cohen's Article HERE

You can check out the ingredients from their site HERE
Notice this 'chemical' is in their breadsticks & cinnamon sticks
The 't' and 'h' in 'methyl' is transposed.

Who else uses this on food ?
How many frozen retail / commercial cheese or (??) products contain this CHEMICAL ?
This stuff HEATED above 300 degrees starts to give off toxic vapors.
Vapors like Formaldehyde, Carbon Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide & Silicon Dioxide.
What happens when a 'living organism' continually ingests a 'dead body's preservative' ?
Ohhhhh....ok. That explains the feeling that I'm walking among some zombies.

Oh, by the way... Beowulf makes a real kick-ass pizza,
and I stopped eating commercial pizza awhile ago.

Are you Suffering from Over-Use of the 'U' word ?

What You Say ? I'm talking about the constant use of these words lately -
"Un-believable & "Un-real"

Please, Stop talking yourself out of it. It is 'Believable'. This is 'Real'.

Bush said a $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ deal with the UAE Gov't
to oversee
6 US American ports is OK !??
...And pulls the 'discrimination card',
pulls the 'what's good for the goose is good for the gander card',
pulls the 'I don't even know what's going on card',
and then pulls the 'opposing it would be a threat to our national security' card.
But it will be the first legislation in 5 years Bush would veto if a rejection is legislated.
????????

JERK in the Box !

The stories talk about 6 ports.
New York, New Jersey, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Miami & New Orleans.
Oh, and one more in Vancouver, Canada.
(which isn't making it in the stories, well - because it's not on US soil.)
You can visit P&O's port site HERE (you'll need flash, click on their 'Operations' tab.)
It's not just 1 port / 1 berth. They have a total of 33 berths listed.
(Philly's info is not available)

Port -
1. a harbor. 2. a city or town with a harbor where ships arrive and depart,
and load or unload cargoes. 3. a port of entry.

Berth -
1. enough space at sea; hence, 2. space for anchoring or tying up.  3. a ship's place of anchorage.

"I can understand why some in Congress have raised questions about whether or not our country will be less secure as a result of this transaction, but they need to know that our government has looked at this issue and looked at it carefully."

"It sends a terrible signal to friends around the world that it's OK for a company from one country to manage the port, but not a country that plays by the rules and has got a good track record from another part of the world."

"They ought to listen to what I have to say about this.
They'll look at the facts and understand the consequences of what they're going to do. But if they pass a law, I'll deal with it with a veto."

(well then it's a good thing you've got the American people here
to help you when you need it.)

According to the P&O Press Releases, this deal has been in the works since late 2005.

The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, comprised of officials from 12 government departments and agencies, including the National Security Council and the Department of Homeland Security, approved the deal unanimously on January 17.

DP World Executive Nominated For Prestigious US Gov't Position
Dubai, 24 January 2006: - Global ports operator DP World today welcomed news that one of its senior executives, Dave Sanborn, has been nominated by US President George W. Bush to serve as Maritime Administrator a key transportation appointment reporting directly to Norman Mineta the Secretary of Transportation and Cabinet Member.

Some speculate this deal has been in the works much longer.

Dobbs: President Bush's family and members of the Bush administration have long- standing business connections with the United Arab Emirates, and those connections are raising new concerns and questions tonight in some quarters about why the president is defying his very own party leadership and his party in defending the Dubai port deal.

Christine Romans: The oil-rich United Arab Emirates is a major investor in
The Carlyle Group, the private equity investment firm where President Bush's father once served as senior adviser and is a who's who of former high-level government officials. Just last year, Dubai International Capital, a government-backed buyout firm, invested in an $8 billion Carlyle fund.

Another family connection, the president's brother, Neil Bush, has reportedly received funding for his educational software company from the UAE investors. A call to his company was not returned.

Then there is the cabinet connection. Treasury Secretary John Snow was chairman of railroad company CSX. After he left the company for the White House, CSX sold its international port operations to Dubai Ports World for more than a billion dollars. Snow told reporters he had no knowledge
of the CSX sale.

Ok boys & girls, can anyone say, "Conflict Of Interest" ?
Go Now and Watch Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11

Bush on Thursday questioned whether a double standard was being applied to a Middle East company, saying, "It's OK for a British company to manage ports, but not OK for a company that's also a valuable partner" in the war on terror.

Dobbs: President Bush has put forth a challenge tonight that I simply can't ignore. The president yesterday said he wanted those who are critical and questioning of this port deal to "step up and explain why all of a sudden a Middle Eastern company is held to a different standard than a Great British company."

Well, first of all, Mr. President, to equate any country to your principal partner in the coalition ignores that special relationship this country's enjoyed with the United Kingdom for decades and decades. This also is not just a British company and an Arab company, as I think you well know.

Peninsula and Oriental Steam Navigation is a British privately owned company. Dubai Ports World is a UAE government controlled and owned company. You see the difference, of course.

And furthermore, the money used to fund the 9/11 attacks, most of it, in fact, was sent to the hijackers through the UAE banking system. In fact, two of the hijackers were originally from the UAE.

The UAE stonewalled U.S. efforts to track al Qaeda bank accounts after 9/11. In addition, the Emirates does not recognize Israel as a sovereign state. And the UAE was a transfer point for shipments of nuclear technology to Iran, North Korea and Libya.

And if those aren't good enough reasons, I would just suggest I'm at a complete loss to offer what might be considered good reasons.

~ Transcript from Lou Dobbs Tonight, CNN - Feb. 22, 2006

Just a few more notes to mention about this 'deal' so far:

As part of the $6.8 billion purchase, the administration did not require Dubai Ports to keep copies of business records on U.S. soil, where they would be subject to court orders. It also did not require to designate an American citizen to accommodate U.S. government requests. Outside legal experts said such obligations are routinely attached to U.S. approvals of foreign sales in other industries.
~ Arab Co., White House Had Secret Agreement - Feb. 22, 2006

The Homeland Security Department objected at first to a UAE company's taking over
significant operations at six U.S. ports. It was the lone protest among members of the
government committee that eventually approved the deal without dissent.
President Bush, Homeland Secretary Michael Chertoff, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld and even Treasury Secretary John Snow, who oversees the government committee that approved the deal, all say they did not know about the purchase until after it was finalized. The work was done mostly by assistant secretaries.

my government, the more they'll be comforted that our ports will be secure."

Bush continually says that his administration is capable of doing
more than one thing at a time. Yep, I'm definitely convinced.
Convinced that whenever Bush & Co.'s lips are moving, they are lying.
Definitely not capable of multi-tasking.
The beautiful thing about being a successful multi-tasker,
is that you actually achieve your goals to completion.
Oh, but that's the kicker....what are those goals ? Their Goals ?
If you were to ask Bush & Co. if they're achieving their goals..
"...We're Making Progress."

Bush Selling Off Public Lands
Bush's proposed 2007 budget includes a legislative request to allow the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management to sell off land in national forests, grasslands and scenic areas to fund the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act. The budget proposes phase out the rural assistance act by 2012.
Once this land falls into the hands of developers, it can never be reclaimed.
The sale would produce enough revenue to make up a deficit from federal timber sales for six years. But the administration is phasing out the rural-school program, not saving it.

The PINK ELEPHANT IN THE LIVING ROOM IS BURSTING OUT OF THE HOUSE !

What I'd like to know is Why so many Americans are still defending these criminals ?
Why ?
Because you have a lifestyle you've become accustomed to ?
Why ?
Because you don't want to believe that some boys and girls in the administration
would ever do harm to other people, let alone their own people,
for their own selfish, greedy reasons ?
Why ?
Because you don't have the time or inclination to think beyond your own daily problems ?
Why ?
Because we're all guilty, at some point, of taking our Freedoms for granted ?
Why ?
Because you haven't even done any research to prove the administration right,
so you'll attack anyone that has done their research to prove the administration wrong ?
Why ?
Because you're indifferent at the moment and waiting for the draft.
Why ?
Because...well hey, you're ok with this illegal war, strife, lying,
killing and supporting those very ideals.

State Of Bliss - Keep Those Blinders On !

"Naturally the common people don't want War:
Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany.
That is understood.
But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is
always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy,
or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship ...
Voice or No Voice,
the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy.
All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked,
and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism
and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."
